Great service, great food great everything! I think I had my biggest grilled entrecote ever for a very low price. Everything they serve is from local farmers and you can taste it. Fresh and very tasteful food. Defenitly a good place to eat if you are hungry and want some good french local food.

Restaurant la Cantene d'Eugene is a charming, fantastic restaurant that served one of the best meals I've ever had. It is worth going out of your way to dine here - you will not be disappointed. My wife and I had dinner here on our way back from Mont Saint-Michel (we were staying near Bayeux) and we could not have chosen a better restaurant. We were delayed from some car trouble, but we called and they were happy to push our reservation back. When we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Our waitress (possibly the owner?) was friendly and helpful. Our meal started with an amuse bouche and it was one of those dishes where you take a bite and reflexively close your eyes to fully savor how good it is. Every following course, from appetizer to dessert, was just as impressive - my wife and I were absolutely delighted by the whole meal. The setting itself was wonderful, too - a rustic, inviting interior with cows grazing in the field outside the window. Throughout our dinner, it was clear that everything was made with genuine care, and with only the best ingredients. The food here could compete with Parisian restaurants that charge twice the price. Do yourself a favor and dine here as soon as you get the chance. It's an absolute treat.

This is really fabulous place. Delicious food - I really loved duck and pork as mains and beef tomato for a starter. Have some great burgundy with your dinner - givry 1er cru is amazing. Totally recommended.

Don't let yourself be fooled by the outside, this restaurant is subtle and elegant. The fireplace adds a touch of comfort and countryside atmosphere. The service is discreet and the staff can advise you on the correct wine to accompany your meal. The chef uses local produce to create his dishes and the meat is wonderfully cooked, the desert ends the meal on a tasty sweet note. A great place to discover local food and enjoy time out from the hustle and bustle.
